NANOCRYL® A 370

Product Description (Web)
NANOCRYL® A 370 is a versatile dispersion of colloidal silica in a methacrylate monomer for the use in adhesive applications. The silica phase consists of surface-modified, synthetic SiO2-spheres of very small size (Ø 20 nm) and narrow particle size distribution.
Despite the high SiO2-content of 50 wt%, NANOCRYL® A 370 is highly transparent, low viscous and shows no sedimentation due to the agglomerate-free dispersion of the nanoparticles in the monomer.
Typical Applications
NANOCRYL® A 370 is a versatile dispersion of colloidal silica in methacrylate monomer (HEMA) with low crosslinking density.
  • To be used in UV curable and flexible adhesives and encapsulant applications

  • It reduces (cure) shrinkage and CTE

  • It improves mechanical properties, such as wear resistance
Benefits
  • Significantly improved tear resistance, fracture toughness and modulus

  • Highly filled, transparent and flexible adhesives can be formulated

  • Suitable for optical clear adhesives

  • Significantly improved adhesion to inorganic substrates (e.g. glass)

  • Lower CTE, reduced shrinkage & thermal expansion

  • Very low viscosity, thus suitable for injection or spray processes

  • UV-curable
