Our water repellents shield against precipitation in all its forms. Buildings and other infrastructure are exposed to weather and outdoor conditions – so providing protection is a key requirement in building construction. If water and dissolved pollutants penetrate surfaces, they can often unleash damaging processes that could potentially have a negative impact on surface appearance, functionality, and durability of the structure.

Likewise, such damage typically comes with a hefty reconstruction price tagm, so our products prevent these processes by:

• significantly reducing water penetration
• improving resistance to frost and de-icing salts
• minimizing efflorescence
• reducing transport of harmful substances dissolved in water
• protecting against corrosion

Our Protection Management system features a variety of water repellents. These not only protect against the elements, but they also guarantee a longer infrastructure life-cycle and contribute to more demanding aesthetic requirements.

• TEGOSIVIN® solutions contain a broad range of well-established water repellents, where the focus is the integral use of these liquid additives within mineral building materials like e.g., concrete. The right additives can make the difference within concrete structures or additional protective layers. They can also have a major influence on the durability and the workability.

• TEGOPAC® & Polymer ST offers a range of silane-modified polymers (SMP) which are typically used in adhesives, sealants, or liquid applied membranes. Liquid applied membranes are a very common way of waterproofing nowadays, so whether hand or machine applied, these waterproofing systems are very flexible. TEGOPAC® is part of our versatile toolbox of silane-modified-polymers and our broad toolbox enables our customers to formulate their unique products according to their individual market requirements.
